Interviewer: I was coming over here in a taxi, and the cab driver said to me “So Ian McKellen, he’s the one that, when he stays in hotels, rips the part of the Bible out that criticizes homosexuality.”
Ian: Yes, it is true.  ”Thou shalt not lie with a man as with a woman, tis an abomination” and I think the punishment for being abominable was being stoned to death.  I don’t think those are very comfortable words to have at the bedside of someone who may passing a lonely night away from  loved ones.  And I think it’s rather obscene, and pornographic, and shouldn’t be there.  So I remove it.

There’s a reason I have this tag, people.

This story never fail to make me smile/flail/jump around/do some silly dance moves/throw rainbows and cookies all over the place.
Ian, I love you.
